Nicky has always set out to give service to those around him from a young age. He had the opportunity to be a teacher at a local Utah school providing education to high school students. While there, he offered the students opportunities to travel to different countries in South America and provide service to the communities and families there. 

From gathering school supplies, food, and other necessities to building a roof for a school, painting, and redecorating a classroom, every year, they provided kids and adults in South America opportunities to get an education and have hope for a better future. 

Now retired from being a teacher, Nicky's dream has been to create a non-profit organization where he could continue to help those in need. Building Hope Foundation was then founded.
